How it works:
Photovoltaic Cells (Solar Cells) are the key ingredient for a solar system. It’s a device that converts the energy of sunlight directly into electricity by the photovoltaic effect.
Photovoltaic Panels (PV Panels) are the starting point of every solar system. Solar Panels use the sunlight to generate direct current (DC) electricity, which then flows to a combiner box where all the wires are found together.
The Combiner box is a device used to group the entire systems wiring from each panel. This is then transferred to the system’s inverters.
Grid-tie Inverters (GTI) are used in a renewable energy power system to convert direct current into altering current and feed it into the utility grid.
After the conversion to AC power, the electricity runs through the Utility AC Disconnect which is a safety feature used to disconnect a buildings electrical system from the solar PV system.
Each Visio Energy system is linked to a performance monitoring reporting system (VTrak). Each one of Visio’s client will have their own account with Visio Energy’s new VTrak web portal which allows you to generate live reports, monitor the system’s performance and forecast lease revenues.
How does the Visio Energy Solutions installation process work?
The installation process is customized and tailored to our clients specific needs. Preliminary steps for installation include:
- SURVEYING THE SITE:
Our project managers come on-site, conduct a site survey, and create a diagram of the system design. - FINANCIAL ANALYSIS:
Visio Energy will prepare a full 20-year financial analysis demonstrating your return on investment. - FIT APPLICATION:
Our team of professionals will ensure that your project is submitted to the Ontario Power Authority properly each step of the process. - BUILDING PERMITS:
Once the project has been approved, we submit the applications
for all necessary building permits. - ORDERING MATERIALS:
We order the equipment and set an installation date pending delivery of the materials. - INSTALLATION AND CONNECTING TO THE GRID:
Once the modules, inverters and racking are delivered, our team of professionals will begin work on your solar panel installation. Connection to the grid will be in cooperation with your Local Distribution Company (LDC).
